SkillVantage CARES represents the humanitarian and social responsibility arm of SkillVantage Enterprise. It delivers coaching, empowerment, resilience training, and provide community advocacy to Youth affected by violence, loss, or displacement; College graduates seeking direction and opportunity; Military personnel navigating post-service transitions; and Caribbean Communities rebuilding after natural disasters. CARES is an acronym for Community Advocacy, Resilience, Empowerment and Service (CARES).
The Tiana Angelique Notice Foundation was created in the wake of tragedy. Tiana was murdered by her former partner who now serves 60 to life. Her father, Alvin Ainsley Notice wanted to make sure justice wasn’t just for Tiana – but for others as well. The foundation strives in prevention and supports during active situation. It provides educational resources on the cycle of violence, the importance of self-worth and self-empowerment, and increases awareness on violence against women. Additionally, it offers resources to legal and financial assistance, collaboration (individuals and organizations) to eliminate re-victimization, increase awareness on violence against women, decrease domestic abuse, and promote the GPS monitoring system for offender tracking.
Barrels By Smiley is a nonprofit organization developed by Shanett Smiley to carry out a simple mission, putting smiles on the faces of as many less fortunate children in the world as possible who are in need of help with basic schools supplies such as; book bags, notebooks, pencils, pens, uniforms and other needed necessities to attend school, starting in the island of Jamaica. The organization now does work in Jamaica across several schools and within the state of Georgia. The founder believes in the value of education and that it is the key. She believes that a better education means better opportunities, equating to a better life and future.
